Creating a contact
Handify allows you to maintain a comprehensive database of your business contacts. Adding new contacts is a straightforward process that can be done directly from the main navigation menu. Follow these steps to create a new contact:
From the main navigation menu, locate and click on "Contacts".
On the Contacts page, look for and click the "Add Contact", located at the top right of the page.
Enter Contact Details In the new contact form, fill in the following information:
Full Name: Enter the contact's complete name.
Preferred Name: If the contact goes by a nickname or different name, enter it here.
Email: Input the contact's primary email address.
Phone Number: Enter the contact's phone number.
Title: Specify the contact's job title or position.
Company: Enter the name of the company the contact works for.
Notes: Add any additional relevant information or comments about the contact.
After entering all the necessary information, click the "Create" button at the bottom of the form.
Editing or Deleting an Existing Contact
Locate the Contact
Access Edit Options: Click on the ellipsis icon (...) to the right of the contact's name.
Select Edit or Delete
From the dropdown menu, choose "Edit" to modify the contact's information.
Select "Delete" if you wish to remove the contact entirely.
Make Changes
If editing, update the necessary fields in the contact form.
Review your changes for accuracy, then click "Save Changes".
Additional Tips
Ensure the email address is correct, as it may be used for future communications through Handify.
If you have multiple phone numbers or email addresses for a contact, use the Notes field to record this additional information.
Be consistent in how you enter company names to avoid duplicate entries.
Regularly update contact information to keep your database current.
Remember, maintaining an up-to-date and accurate contact list is crucial for effective communication and relationship management with your clients and partners.
By following these steps, you can easily add new contacts to your Handify database, ensuring that your team has access to the most current and comprehensive contact information.
